Wow Vernita, when I receive the call from Rosebud, it was hard for me to believe growing up in Rosebud. His family lived the next street over for my family. Elmo graduated high school with my sister class of 1972. She would always tell me girl Elmo is so smart. He don’t make nothing but A’s. I remember him playing football and basketball, the last time I talked with Elmo we were at Fellowship Baptist Church. He told me when something was going on in Rosebud to let him know. Sending my sincere thoughts and prayers to the entire Jackson family at this difficult time. May the love and peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bring you comfort doing this time.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
1st Cousin Elmo, rest in love, gone but never ever forgotten. My sincere condolences to Vernita and his children, sending prayers of strength and comfort during this trying time.

Resolution of Respect for Elder Elmo Jackson
To the Jackson family, we are celebrating the life and legacy of Elmo Jackson with you. He and I served the Crouch Memorial Church of God in Christ for many years. He loved his family; he cared for them and introduced them to his Lord and Saviour. His life reflects the values that the Word of the Lord teaches us. We thank God for him, and our prayers and thoughts are with the family.
WHEREAS, in the providence of God, He has ended the life of Elmo Jackson. Pastor and Lady Thompson along with members of Center of Joy Church of God in Christ, in Fort Worth, Texas feel that it is befitting to express our sympathy to the family of Elmo Jackson. With the passing of Pastor Thompson’s beloved friend, we commend you to Him who knows what is best and always does what is right. You have our sincere prayers.
BE IT RESOLVED that we bow in humble submission to Him who gives grace and provides mercy and remind the family to be encouraged by remembering this scripture.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be given to the family and a copy kept in the Center of Joy Church of God in Christ 7200 Kuban Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76120 archives.

Rosebud-Lott graduate of 1971, one year ahead of Elmo. A teammate on the football and basketball teams. He was always someone that I respected. He was a competitor and a good athlete. Thankfully, he also served our country, led and taught young people in the various school districts and was a Man of God, preaching the Word and leading folks to Jesus! Thankful also for the opportunity to see him and visit with him at last year’s R-L Reunion. My Brother in Christ, I’ll see you again one day in Heaven! My sincere condolences to Elmo’s family and friends. God bless you all.
