Deedy Evans Jr., a beloved member of the Fort Worth community, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023, at the age of 75. Born on April 21, 1948, Deedy brought immense joy and happiness to all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Deedy was a proud African American man, known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family. He leaves behind a cherished legacy, as well as countless memories that will be forever etched in the hearts of his loved ones.
As a loving father and brother, Deedy is survived by his daughter Rhonda Waller, and son Christopher Evans; his siblings, Willie Hart, Carl Evans, and Lonzo Evans, who shared a special bond with him throughout their lives.
Committed to providing the best life possible for his family, Deedy obtained a high school diploma and devoted his years to hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He set an admirable example for others, proving that anything is possible with determination and a strong spirit.
His gentle presence will be missed, but Deedy’s life will be celebrated during the upcoming funeral services and ceremonies.
In this time of grief, let us remember the life of Deedy Evans Jr. and the joy he brought to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all.
Mr Evans we truly enjoyed your company all of the Perry gathering and brightening up my sister in law Yvonne Perry Means. Who you call My baby. Can’t believe you were just with us Thanksgiving and having a great time then they call me in Corpus DeeDee our angel has joined other family members. Remember Gods got this and he prepared himself for the Lord God bless each of you and will be prayer. To God be the glory!
