Norma Jean Scott, January 29, 1940, Fort Worth, Texas
Born to her parents, John Aaron Scott and Georgia Ann Young Scott Cobb, in Fort Worth, Texas, she accepted Christ at an early age at the Greater St. James Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, John Aaron Scott and Georgia Ann Young Scott Cobb; her brother John Aaron Scott, Jr.; sisters Beverly Ann Trotter and Johnnye Vernita Hunter.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Nelson Thomas Davis, Jr., Angela Denise Davis Woods; Susan Dianne Hunter; Adrienne Lynn Angton (Vern); Scott Trotter; Shanetra Davis Anderson (Durrell); Nelson T. Davis III; Courtney E. Hunter; John Aaron Hunter; Vern Angton III; her constant companion, Zoe; and other extended relatives.
Norma grew up in the Historic Riverside neighborhood and graduated from the Historic I. M. Terrell High School.
Norma’s career in the airline industry afforded her the freedom to travel throughout the country. During her retirement years, she enjoyed little Zoe’s companionship and visits from family members.
In her life, she showered her nephews and nieces with her generosity. Old westerns and the Dallas Cowboys were her favorite leisurely pastimes, and she never turned down good barbecue.
