The late Wille and Willie Mae Scott welcomed Franchee (Frenchell Scott) into the world on July 23, 1943, in Jacksonville, Texas. On Friday, January 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, he passed from this world into eternal rest.
At an early age, he united with Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas.

He taught math at Wedgewood Middle School, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Carter-Riverside High School, and O.D. Wyatt High School until retiring from Fort Worth ISD in 2000.
He was joined in holy marriage with Miss Winnie Ruth Whitaker, his high school sweetheart, in 1964. To this union, Cassandra Rochelle Scott was born.
He was a loving husband, daddy and pawpaw.
Preceding him in death his parents, and two brothers Homer and Jerry Scott.
Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 59 years, Winnie R. Scott, his daughter, Cassandra R. Sending my sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the Scott Family. Mr. Scott was a beloved Family friend, who felt like an extension of my family. Being that he was one of my Father’s Melvin L. Nays Sr. (RIP) most dearest friends, he was always around in some form or fashion. I remember when they both visited me at TJC dressed alike. (Not intentional, but it was still funny)
Rest Well Mr. Scott, tell my Daddy he is missed, and we are taking good care of MOM.
Sincerely,
V. Loretta Nays-Bradley (AKA Ms. Kmart)
Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers to Winnie, Rochell, David and the entire Scott Family. I share in your grief because we are really family in a way. We grew up together, went to school together, was in Band together and Frenchell played football. I am praying that God will strengthen and comfort you in your time of sorrow. He can give you peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable. So cast your cares upon him for he cares for you. I love you and I’m only a call away.♥️🙏
Mr. Scott was a wonderful teacher and friend. I will never forget something he did for me to help me get accepted to Baylor University when I didn’t have the required math skills or credits. He truly cared for his students. RIP Mr. Scott.
Uncle you were the last of our uncles we may not have talked everyday but you showed us love when you were around. I have a lot of great memories that I will cherish for years to come. I thank you for taking time to assist my boys with math. You may be gone but never forgotten…Rest on uncle until then…your neice Gloria(sister)🥲🥲🥲
One of my favorite teachers at CHS. Even though I was terrible at math. LOL. He was a good guy and always looking out for us. He always had a smile and a story to tell. I wish his family peace. RIP Mr. Frenchelle Scott.
Margie, Lynn Arthur, Dorothy, David Earl and Pam say:
Franchell you were a great uncle to us. Each time we would come over you would have something for us. You showed your love for all of us. We have so many great memories and will cherish forever. You may be gone from earth but not from our hearts.
My sincere condolences to the Scott family. So sorry to learn of the death of my classmate. Remembering the good times. God Bless each of you.

Winnie, I remember when you attended Fred Douglass. I remember when Frenchell attended, also, I was behind both of you, but I remember quite well. I know the Lord wants good people also, Alton and Rachel have gone home already. It will be nice seeing people they attended school with, God loves you and I am praying he gives you strength. God bless you Winnie and I pray that he walks with you. Love always
