Edwin Windell Washington affectionately known as “Eddie Boy” “Bow Bo”, was born on October 7,1941 in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away peacefully on January 21,2025. He was the beloved son of Velma Lee Gatewood, and Eddie Washington. Edwin was a cherished presence in the lives of many-beautiful daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son and friends.

A proud graduate of Como High School, Edwin spent his life along with his wife Ola M. Blanton Washington raising children after children. Giving everybody around him a nickname. Edwin spent most of his life working for Fab Concrete and Roofing, then he worked as a Shade Tree Mechanic with his longtime friend Clifford Watkins. Edwin loved being around his family cracking jokes, dancing and listening to music.Edwin was loved by everyone that came in contact with him.

Edwin is preceded in death by his wife of 60 plus years: Ola M. Blanton Washington, Parents: Velma L. Gatewood and Eddie Washington, Sisters: Ruby Houston Pinchback, Bonnie L. Hanes, Jean Anderson, Joyce Ann Holmes, Brothers: Juber Hanes, Albert Witt, Joe Hanes, Nephew: Ned
