Earnest Alvin Sneed was born on August 31, 1939, in Rusk, Texas, to the late Clarence and Sammie Sneed.
He was raised on Bradford Mountain and in the Old Rusk Fairground community, where he developed the values of hard work, faith, and family. During his youth, he attended Mount Olive Baptist Church and graduated from George Washington Bradford High School in 1959.
On July 9, 1960, Earnest married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Tyler. Together they built a beautiful life and made their home in Fort Worth, Texas. They became faithful members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, where Earnest accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Earnest was known by everyone who knew him as a mechanical genius. Gifted with an incredible ability to understand and repair almost anything, he worked several jobs throughout his career before joining Heidelberg Graphics. His exceptional talent and expertise earned him opportunities to travel the world, where he proudly represented his company through his remarkable craftsmanship and dedication.
Above all, Earnest loved his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend. His wisdom, quiet strength, and willingness to help others will forever be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Earnest was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Jean Sneed; his parents, Clarence and Sammie Sneed; and his brothers, George Sneed, Hermon Sneed, and Calvin Sneed.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving children: Jacqueline Daniels (Roy) and Victor Sneed (Lynette); his siblings: Edward Sneed (Judith), James Sneed (Chinesta), and Gloria Mills; his beloved grandchildren: Krishonna Henderson (Jill), Raesha Fuller (Doug), Antrone Ellis (Jasmine), Ashley Lockert (Eugene), and Bria Sneed (Josh); his treasured great-grandchildren: Cameran Henderson, Christian Henderson, Marcus Clerkley Jr., Aden Scott, Skylar Fuller, and Jordyn Fuller; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
