About Us

Tree of Life was founded by Andrew D. S. Kirkland in Fort Worth, Texas, based on the principles of its motto: “Service of Distinction and Class, with Integrity of Ages Past.” Inspired by the late Dr. William E. Spears and the late Dr. Gregory W. Spencer, Mr. Kirkland attributes his success to their guidance.

Mr. Kirkland partnered with Pastor Parish E. Lowery, leading Tree of Life into new and innovative directions. This collaboration has established Tree of Life as the premier choice for funeral services in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. Recognized as one of the top three funeral service providers in Fort Worth for 2022, 2023, and 2024, Tree of Life continues to grow, with 2025 looking equally promising.

Andrew and Parish believe in the principle of sowing and reaping, and their ongoing contributions to the community have been rewarded with significant business growth and expansion. As of 2023, Tree of Life boasts a fleet of six limousines, six hearses—including the personalized and highly customized Rosewood Prinzing Vintage/Classic Hearse—and a customized removal van. They have also acquired their current facility at 1051 S. Handley Drive in Fort Worth, Texas.

Proudly remaining independently Black-owned and operated, Tree of Life is committed to providing valuable employment opportunities to the local community.
