To the Family of Pastor Jeffery Cook,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Jeffery was truly a servant of God, someone whose kindness and faith left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
I had the privilege of knowing Jeffery for many years, and during that time, I witnessed his unwavering character and genuine care for others. As members of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, we shared a bond rooted in faith, fellowship, and service. Jeffery consistently lived out what it means to love others through action, humility, and grace.
He was a good person in the truest sense of the word, steady, dependable, and compassionate. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service and goodness will continue to live on through all whose lives he touched.
Please know that you are lifted in prayer and surrounded by love during this time of sorrow. May God grant you comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead.
With sincere love and gratitude,
Shelia Williams

To The Cook Family –
So many memories flood my mind about Reverend Cook – the name I most often called him. He was funny, kind, resolute and most of all, he was committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus.
I first met Jeffery at Macedonia and remember being stunned by his deep booming voice. I would hear that voice for the last time in person a few weeks back. We lived near each other and we ran into each other at a local spot. We laughed, he talked about his illness and I encouraged him. He was full of hope and steadfast in his faith. He remained that way until the end.
May the peace of God surround the family and envelop you in His care. Be comforted.
To the Pastor & Teacher Jeffery Cook as well as his family, I send my heartfelt condolences. This was a hard loss for the family but for the students of Carter Park Elementary who had the pleasure of having him in their space, this was a battle we most definitely wanted him to win on this side. He was the father figure for so many students that didn’t have father’s in the home needed. He was stern but loving and fair. Many students that didn’t have him as a 4th grade teacher trust me wanted him because he was just that amazing. Mr. Cook, you will be missed beyond measures. We love you and ask that you continue to watch over all your students, young and old as well as your family. Give my dad a big hug for me, you two finally meeting up again. A job well done it was, you can rest in eternal peace. God’s grace and mercy, has you for sure.

This is still hard to believe. Mr. Cook was funny, considerate, loyal and giving. The Bowser family is forever grateful to God for the life of Mr. Cook. I will miss my friend. Our Walton Crew will never be the same. Rest well!
