I had the pleasure of working with Aretha at HHSC. She was such a kind, loving and empathetic person. She truly saw people and had the ability to make you feel important. I’m forever grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her in the last year and a half. I know she’s in heaven with Jesus and I’ll see her again one day. I’m praying for her family and friends. Please know she will never be forgotten. May God bless you with peace that surpasses all understanding during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure in meeting you and working with you. She was such a great person and always willing to help. She was so happy meeting her staff in person even though she was feeling sick. She went out of her way to make it happen. She enjoyed her last vacation on a cruise. May you rest in peace my friend and watch over your children from heaven. I had the pleasure of having Ms. Aretha as my mentor in training at HHSC. She always had a loving and kind spirit. Her words of encouragement will always be with me. She always made it a point to reach out to me even afterwards to check on me. She made me feel like I could accomplish anything. I will miss our talks and just hearing her say you better not give up you got this and I’m with you for the ride. I will miss you tremendously. Please watch over us and especially your children whom she loved so much and talked about on a daily. We love you. You are and always will be my mentor. RIH

I met Aretha at Samaritan Church. Such a good sweet lady and remember one time she hosted a make up party and she definitely did the make up on my face. I was looking really good. In other words you know, Mr. Aretha lives Sweet, sweet, loving, kind woman and always always always had put God first and her church. She was always there for her church members and working in the church so may you rest in peace and watch over your kids xoxo 😘
