Waymond Lee Harper, Sr. was born January 7, 1930, in Bremond, Texas, to the parentage of Mr. Olin Harper, Sr. and Mrs. Wiley Harper. He was the oldest of ten children. He accepted Christ at an early age, at New Hope Baptist Church in Bremond, Texas. He later moved to Fort Worth, Texas and united with the Beth Eden Baptist Church. He graduated from Love High School in Bremond and attended Jarvis Christian College, later he joined the United States Army.

 Waymond retired from Bell Helicopter after 32 years. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 838. He loved his politics. Waymond met Verna and the two were married on February 8th, 1986 and were united for 32 years.

 On Friday, April 13th, 2018, the Lord called Waymond’s name to receive his eternal reward. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin Sr. & Wiley Harper; brother, Billy Harper; sister, Lucile Harper and step-daughter, Kim Crear.

 His memories will be forever cherished by his wife, Verna Harper; his children, Waymond Harper Jr., Barbara Harper Pack, Dennis (Tammy) Harper & Sabrina (Semaj, Sr.) Gadlin; siblings, Annie Harper Henry, Mary Helen Miller, Doris Ann Birch, Linda Goffery, Olin Jr., Roy & Johnny Harper; grandchildren, Gregory Pack, Jr., Kristin Pack (Kendrick) Richardson, Danielle Johnson, ShaLante Hennington, Myronique Birks, ShaLeese Dixon, Semaj, Jr. & Sa’Mundre Gadlin; great grandchildren; Lyric C. Hannon, Kendrick “KJ” & Lawson Gregory Richardson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
