Thomas Nathaniel Goss was born February 3, 1935, to the proud parentage of Samuel Lee and Annie Maude Goss, of Canton Georgia. His parents moved to Alcoa, Tennessee during his early childhood, where he received his formal education.

Mr. Goss accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Bethel Baptist Church, there in Alcoa. He was a lifeguard and a competitive bowler.

Thomas joined the United States Air Force after high school and was a radio operator. For 19years, following his military career, he worked at Texas Electric Company. He ventured into entrepreneurship when he opened O.C.C.S. and Tony’s Photography.  He received the Eagles Award in 2000, from the Black Chamber of Commerce.  

 Mr. Goss was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he was the Minister of Music. He was a musical instructor at various churches.

 Thomas married the late Helen Ruth Cook in Fort Worth, Texas and to this union three children were the blessing. He later married Nellie Jean Whitehead and this union was blessed with three children. 

 On Sunday, March 25, 2018, Thomas Nathaniel Goss answered the call to leave his earthly home and claim his Heavenly reward. At his arrival, he was greeted by his parents, Samuel Lee and Annie Maude Goss; two sisters, Ana Maud and Mary Lee; one brother, Eugene Lewis and one son, Anthony Dale Goss.

 Mr. Thomas Nathaniel Goss’s flesh is gone but his spirit lives on in the lives of his sons, Barry Lynn Goss, Jan Durrell Goss (Sheila), Kevin D. Whitehead (Maria) and Samuel Matthew Goss; his daughter, Belinda “Misty” Whitehead; his sisters, Nettie Belle Thigpin; his brothers, Franklin Goss, Paul Goss, Matthew Goss, Herbert Goss and Earnest Goss; several generations of grandchildren and a host of  nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
