James Stephen Potter was born to the parents of James Paul and Linda Keilough Potter on August 24, 1983. Little James began his Christian Journey at the age of two years old. He was a member of the Y.P.D. and the Michael Davidson A.C. Johnson Youth Choir. He was educated by the Fort Worth Independent School District. He attended Eastern High School, where he was a straight “A” student and a great running back in football.

 James enlisted in the United States Navy, after graduation. He received basic training in Chicago, Illinois, which was followed by a relocation to San Deigo, California to the assignments of where he was stationed. He served his time aboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill as the ship’s Sonar Technician. He received numerous medals and awards while serving his beloved country. After serving his country with honor, he enrolled in Tarrant County College, where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Buisness. He was a person with a big heart and was willing to lend a helping hand. He was truly a giving person, that was loved by many.

 James Stephen Potter was heard the voice of Jesus call him from labor to reward, on February 12, 2018. Upon his arrival at the gate, he was greeted by his father, James Paul Potter and one of his sisters, Stephanie Potter.

 Among those who cherish his memory are, his beloved children, Jade, Jayla, James, Jr., Joshua, Jordan and Jacob; a loving mother, Linda Keilough Potter; three brothers, Jason Potter and spouse Wendy, Joshua Potter and spouse Karla and Leewaun Keilough; three sisters, Vanessa Potter and Alvin, Paula Harold and Jenny Potter and Lanette; one grandson, Trevon and a host of relatives and friends.
