Blondine Lucas  was born on April 15, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama, one of three children to William and Sadie Bryant. Blondine has always sought the Lord and
confessed her salvation at an early age. She attended Parker High School and later to Lawson State Community College. She married at age 18 and three children were born to that union.

 Throughout her life, she traveled extensively, first as a military wife and then as an independent woman. Blondine eventually settled in the Dallas, Texas area, where she worked as a caregiver for many years, providing companionship and home care services to the elderly. She also worked for the Kimberly Clark Foundation and Brookdale, prior to her retirement. Her friends and family called her a thoughtful, caring and gentle spirit, who brought calmness to all who knew her. Blondine was strong in faith and rested on the promises of God, in every aspect of her life. She never met a stranger and always made a friend wherever she went.

 Blondine answered the call of the angel’s, early in the morning, on July 6, 2018. She was reunited with her brothers, Lewis “Sonny” Wright and William Bryant. leaves to celebrate her life

 She leaves to celebrate her life: her three children, Chonita, Derrick and Al, Jr.; three cousins, Julia Alexander, John Alexander and Josephine Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, pets and members of the community.
