My condolences to the Belton Family. I first met Chief Belton in 1975 when we were in the same Dallas PD Rookie Class. We worked together at Central Patrol in the late 70’s. He and I were both USAF and TX Air National Guard Air Police Veterans. I appreciated his friendship and fine service to Dallas and our country.
I first met Zack at the SW Patrol Division while he was on his DPD Training period.I believe that I may have been his first Patrol Supervisor if my memory is correct.
As a young Rookie Police Officer he had a strong will and determination about him. The training period for him was not entirely easy, and he had some difficulty in his adjustment to the DPD. However, with a hard work ethic, self discipline, and staying after hours with his FTO he prevailed through his Rookie Training period. I feel he made it because of his determination to succeed.
A few years later my wife Linda Gail,a school teacher, taught school with Zack’s wife in the AISD. I extend my heartfelt prayers to Tamra, his children, and the Belton family during this time of grief and sorrow. May you RIP my DPD Brother in Blue on this your final signal 66. John R. Allen,Retired DPD & Retired Alvarado PD
God bless his family. Praying for you 🙏❤ All. I meat him at Wisner Gilbert High school.
I can honestly say that GOD has blessed so many of us through Zackary (along with Tamra) in numerous way. I enjoyed the camaraderie we would share each time we encountered Zack. His presence was always bigger than LIFE…never a dull moment. Always giving and sharing the joys of LIFE. Zackary you are and will always be missed…You left a Light on and it shines so bright. I’m still smiling and laughing out loud with a little ache but I feel that you’re just away. BIG-HEARTED GUY!
PRAYERS & Condolences to this magnificent Family.
May GOD comfort, keep, and strengthen each one of you. Much LOVE!
