I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Mr. Thomas in the final weeks of his life. What a beautiful soul. He touched my heart with his pleasant spirit, as I am sure he had touched so many in his path; especially the children he oversaw as their principal. My deepest and sincerest condolences to his loved ones.

What can I say about my boy Greg. I first met Greg my sophomore year at the Green B Trimble Technical High School. We were in the Marching Band together. Ok Greg, I’ll admit again I was a tad, just a tad stuck up … you were a Freshman!! Fresh fish … we called them. We weren’t supposed to socialize with yall much. We crossed paths again at the University of North Texas … what a time we had on that campus! We became suite mates (our dorm rooms connected by our bathroom) at Kerr Hall where he was my RA (resident assistant). We ended up becoming the best of friends. This man was an Angel on Earth, one of a kind. He was classy, my earthly counselor, there was not one day where we’d get together and not laugh hysterically! He was SO funny, quickly … one of my top Greg Thomas stories … We were on a road trip to the Mississippi coast, Greg didn’t like to drive with shoes on. We made it to Jackson, MS 6 hrs out … it was time for a restroom break. Greg got and went to the back for his shoes. I heard the hatch open up a little rustling started … and then I hear “MY SHOES!” I said, what’s wrong with them? He said, “THEY’re in Ft Worth!” Who does that? Greg Thomas. Greg I am missing you so much, but I still feel your presence. I love you always T town. This is NOT goodbye, but see you later my boy. To the family, I know this is a PRAYING family. God has every one of you. If yall need anything I’m still here. I love yall. Prayers for all the students, staff and friends he touched in Fort Worth, TX, Atlanta, GA and Little Rock, AR. We can get through this.
The Roberts and Loving Family extend their deepest condolences, prayers, and love. Ronnie, Glenda, Demetris Roberts and Eric Loving
