Esta Lee Dickens Allen was born to the late Henry Lee Dickens and Ruby Mae Johnson Moore.  Esta was born and raised in Mineral Wells, Texas. She attended Dunbar School, Lee Junior High and she went on to graduate from Mineral Wells High School, in 1973. She attended Weatherford Junior College for two years and then she went on to enroll in North Wood University, where she graduated in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration.

Esta was employed with the federal government for twenty-eight years. She also worked in Fort Worth and Dallas offices, where as, she retired  in 2016. Following her retirement, her health began to decline Esta was a very faithful member of New Bethel Complete In Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Michael J. Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory: one daughter, Helen Bethenia Allen; her six sisters, Betty Brown of California, Nancy Pittman, Margaret Jarrett, Geneva Bible, Susan Porter, all of Fort Worth, Texas and Sandra Parham of Washington State; sixteen nieces and nephews, that loved her very much  and a host of other relatives and friends.
