To Williman and family,I was so saden when I heard about Cora. I will really miss her when I come to Texas.we both enjoyed each other.I am sending many love hugs and kisses. Again I am very sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege to know and work with Mrs. Cora Lewis at the Worth Heights Community Center. She was a member of our Best Years Club for over a decade. She served in many capacities but especially as our President and the center representative for four years. I loved her so much. She was a firecracker and was always good for a beautiful smile. She was an awesome baker and we loved her teacakes. We won’t ever forget her and will always cherish her memory. Mrs. Lewis loved her family, her church, her pastor and the seniors at Worth Heights.
To the family, Eddie and I send our prayers and sympathy to you. We will always cherish the memories of our friend whom we affectionately called “Candy.” We spent many days and nights in each other’s homes and raised our children together. We love you.
I had the privilege of knowing Candy growing up in Victoria, Texas. We went to the same high school and attended the same church. May God’s comfort sustain you daily.
The Gant-Porter Family.
