On May 6, 1939, Eugene and Lydia Perry welcomed the arrival of their new family addition, a beautiful bouncing baby boy that they would call Bobby James. Bobby was born in Oxford, Louisiana and he attended schools through the Desoto Parish Public School Systems. He met the love of his life Curley in Louisiana and they got married on December 10, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. They later relocated to Fort Worth, Texas to settle there for the duration of his life’s course. To this union they were blessed with five children who have filled their lives with so much joy. Bobby worked for Charles Cohen Construction, in Dallas, Texas, for many years until he retired. Bobby worked for himself for many years where he did various carpenter jobs and made plenty of friends along the way. Bobby was known for his fun and outgoing personality. He was known for “being light on his feet” when he was being the life of the party and dancing while making people laugh. He loved to go to bingo, play cards, blues music, and a friendly argument with his wife (Madea and Brown, is who we call them). He didn’t let anything bother him he was a very carefree person. Whatever he wanted to do, he did with no questions.

The Lord saw that he was getting tired and call him home on Valentine’s Day. He is joined in heaven by his parents, Eugene and Lydia Perry; brothers, Henry Lee Perry, Augustine Perry and Alvin Perry and his granddaughter, Kenzia Perry.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Curley Perry; three sons, Tommy, Cedric and Bobby Ray Perry and spouse Yolanda; three daughters, Marilyn and spouse Willie; Shatari and spouse Larry and Lawanda Hicks; three grandsons, Demarcus, Derrick and Quincy; four granddaughters, Quinnesha, Camilla, Jessica and Aaliyah; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
