Soror Beverly, my Golden as I called her was very special to me. She was a special person who always said what was on her mind. She would always invite me to holiday celebrations with her and her family. Soror Beverly and I would talk about when she would become a Diamond Soror and I would become a Golden and how we would celebrate together at Boule. My Golden you are a Diamond and a Bright Shining Star. I will miss your beautiful smile and wonderful spirit. Love Always Rosalind😘💗💚
Soror Beverly was a jewel and will be dearly missed. Deepest condolences to her family and friends. Grateful to have known her and worked with her through sorority functions. A joy always, grateful to God for the blessing of knowing this lady.
Sisterly love,
Soror Thomasine Beck
Golden Soror Beverly Collymore you are the epitome of grandeur. From the moment our paths crossed 9 years ago, I knew you were special. You took me under your wing, made me wear pantyhose, helped to groom my daughter during her Debutante season and you were most gracious by making all of her invitations. I remember our last conversation a month ago. I LOVE YOU and will miss you. Your legacy will continue through all of us whom you’ve touched. Rest Easy Soror💚
Almost a full decade of tough love, correction, commitment, dedication, loyalty, friendship, sisterhood, good times, unhappy times, joy, celebrations, and so much more. Most wouldn’t believe with over 40 years of separation that we could still be such great friends. We did dinners, parties, happy hours, church, car rides, home visits and of course the wise talks. She was one of my biggest cheerleaders in the sorority. She admired and respected leadership. As a Charter Member and Inaugural Officer of Omega Alpha Omega she worked tirelessly to serve our sisterhood and all mankind. I know without a doubt our almost Pearl Member loved her sorority and she loved her beloved OAO or as she always corrected me and said QAQ. Our last few times together went well into 3 or 4 am, even though I had to be at work by 9 am. Her last note to me thanked all sorors for their generosity and Tremendous Sisterly Spirit and Love. I’m going to miss you my Chartering Golden Soror Beverly Collymore but am honored to have known you. Sing a song in your Heavenly choir. Shine in your minks and pearls. Until we meet again…I love you.
🌷 Your Chartering Basileus, Soror Patrice Withers-Stephens
Golden Soror Beverly, you caught me by surprise on this one. As I reflect on our time together, I’m reminded of your poise and smile. Thank you for being so welcoming and assisting me in everything protocol and serving others with excellence and style. You were unmatched and will be sadly missed by all who may have crossed your path. Your memories will linger in our hearts. Shine on and take your rest.
To the family of my dear sister, please accept my condolences and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. She was loved and even though we are brokenhearted, rest in knowing that the Lord heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)
We’ll understand this and everything better, by and by…
Deepest sympathy,
Soror Georgette Jacobs
To our dear Golden Soror, Beverly Collymore, thank you for being the epitome of style, grace, and sisterhood. From the moment we met, you welcomed me with open arms into Omega Alpha Omega. And for that, I’m eternally grateful. You shared your wisdom and challenged me to be the best sister I could be. Your smile and charm were the most beautiful parts of you. I appreciated your candor and willingness to share your knowledge and experience whenever we were together. I loved hearing your stories about our sisterhood and your own personal walk with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., especially the early years. You were an awesome mother, friend and mentor, and I will truly miss you. Rest peacefully and know that your legacy will last for evermore. May God bless and keep your family and friends in comfort during this time of sorrow.🙏🏾
Golden Soror Beverly Collymore more was exquisite. She was bossy and kind, straight-forward, and tender. I loved to hear her laugh. It was infectious. We shared a journey together from Alpha Xi Omega chapter to one of her most cherished moments – Chartering members of Omega Alpha Omega Chapter. She shared with me, that moment was one of her greatest accomplishments. She would have a legacy in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. which only a small faction of sorority members share. She loved saying the “Award-winning Omega Alpha Omega chapter”. She offered it as a correction when the chapter was mentioned and not referenced as such. She would correct me and we would fall out laughing – that infectious laugh.
I will miss her laughter. I will miss the gracious manner in which she would greet me. The way she said my name – articulate and purposeful. In her passing, as we in our organization refer to our past sorors, Golden Soror Beverly Collymore, is now an “Ivy Beyond The Wall“. As an ivy Soror Beverly will continue to grow in our hearts, with the unbreakable bond she has left us.
I know she will flourish in the heavenly Standards Committee, continuing to ensure all things were in order and proper. I will hold dear her teachings and those moments in which she offered anecdotes about her past to bring to life an understanding. Mostly, I will treasure her example of AKA-ism, a demonstration for us all to imitate.
I will miss my dear Sorority Sister Beverly tremendously. I will always cherish the many lessons of class and grace and will carry them forth forever. My sincerest condolences and prayers to her entire family, friends and fellow sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Condolences and prayers to the family and friends.
RIP my beautiful Soror!

I extend my sincere prayers and condolences to the family of this beautiful woman of God. I met her at a celebration that was honoring my daughter and was overwhelmed by the love she exhibited towards her. I did not know who she was at the time but I watched her during the program and it was evident that she had a great love for her. As I read the comments in her regards it’s obvious that she took great pride mentoring and supporting her beautiful sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha in their different endeavors. She did not limit her cares and concerns only to her sorority sisters. Since meeting her that day she also projected that same love and care towards me as she often inquired about my well being to my daughter. RIL Ms. Beverly, and thank you for the love and support you so willingly extended to my baby and her family.❤️😇❤️.

My condolences to the family. I wouldn’t be the man I am if it weren’t for her. She is gone from this earthly realm but will be remembered forever.
Aunt Bev, you are resting now and Thanks for molding me to the man that I have become.
To Greg, little Greg and Lori,
Beverly, my dearest friend there are no words to describe her. From 1988 we were at DBU working on our Master degrees, you printed every last one of my children high school to college invitations, roommates at the NANBPWC INC local, regional & national meetings, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc local, regional, national meetings, to now 2021.
God taught you that when you look back on your life, you will see how you had strength to get past some of the incredible hurdles you faced. Sometimes you didn’t know how such great feats were achieved, but whether you won or lost YOU HAD A PLAN, and you were always there for me others.
Being Confident of this very thing, that God who begun a good work in you would perform until the day of Jesus Christ to say “come home my good and faithful servant come home”. I will miss you.
Your second family,
Vera, Quentin, William, Atty. Elan & grandson Shyaam
My deepest condolences and prayer go out to the family of our dear Golden Soror Beverly.
She was always a bright light in our chapter. Soror Beverly always had a kind word, and she always asked how was my mom. I will always cherish the memory of her birthday party, and how much fun we had. Soror Beverly was one classy lady. I will miss seeing her at our meetings, and hearing her say my name she made it sound so regal.
Rest well my beautiful Golden Soror Berverly.
Sincerely
Leslie Hardy
I send my deepest condolences to the family of my Beloved Golden Soror, Beverly Collymore! I can’t begin to explain the void that her absence leaves in our chapter without our “One & Only Golden Girl.” But somehow we must pick up the pieces and move forward. I know Soror Beverly would want us to do just that. I will truly miss her sense of style, class & sophistication in addition to her ability to gracefully, but matter-of-factly, correct when necessary. She was in a league all of her own and will be deeply missed.
With sincerest condolences,
Michele F. Miles
