“Sylvia’s Journey”
Sylvia Gail Berliner was born on November 3, 1954, to the parentage of Reverend Stanley and Mrs. Cornello Berliner. Sylvia was the fifth of eight children and enjoyed spending time playing with her siblings. After school, Sylvia spent time trying to find her place, this often led her to move around a lot. Although Sylvia had many trials and tribulations during her early life, she was able to overcome.
Sylvia was a member of Carter Metropolitan, where she worked with the Missionary Department during the November outreach and attended bible study on Wednesday nights, until her health began to fail.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Stanley and Mrs. Cornello Berliner, Jr.; one brother, William Berliner and a sister, Jacqueline Randle.
Left to celebrate Sylvia’s life is her husband of eighteen years, Johnny Lee; son, Kevin Berliner; sisters, Andrea Berliner and Caroline Berliner; brothers, Kenneth Berliner, James Berliner (Deloris) and David Berliner (Dinah); five grandsons; two great grandsons; nine nephews; ten nieces; and over fifty other kids that called her, “Aunt Sybbie”.
Sylvia often said that she was a perfect example of what God can do.
