Ulia Beatrice Curry McGee was born one of eight children,to the parentage of Grady and Ocenia Curry, in Groesbeck, Texas on November 22, 1931. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She loved to write her own gospel songs and had many of them copyrighten and published. Ulia loved to sing, listen to music, just dance and have fun. She was a woman of many talents; she had a licence in upholstery, a lisenced beautician and a mail handler for the United States Post Office, where she retired. Despite the countless hospital stays, she would always say, “Take Me Home to Stop Six,  Sunrise Edition!” Her wish was our command.

Ulia Beatrice Curry McGee answered her Master’s Call to come from an earthly house to a heavenly mansion on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at her home in Stop Six, Texas, a community that she loved and adored.  Upon her arrival, she was greeted by her parents, Grady and Ocenia Curry; a son, Bruce Williams; six of her siblings; a grandson, Tommy Roy; a granddaughter, Jasmine Shields; a great-grandson, Willie Hubbard McGee, and a great-granddaughter, Kevinesha Brazier.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her beloved children, Edward Earl McGee, Mary Burnett, Cynthia Boyd, Patricia Scott Barron and spouse Carl, Beverly Forte and spouse Don, Debbie McGee, Dorothy Wallace and Tomeka McGee; her last living brother, A.D. Curry and spouse Willie Mae; twenty-three grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, countless family members and friends.
