Joe Henry DeLane, Jr., 51, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018, with his family by his side.
Joe H. DeLane, Jr. was born on March 12,1967 in Fort Worth, Texas, to his loving parents Rev. Joe, Sr. and Dorothy DeLane.
He attended Western Hills High School in Fort Worth and was a member of the 1985 graduating class. He continued his education at Texas Wesleyan University, where he studied theatre and broadcasting.
Joe loved acting and the performing arts. He also loved spending time with family, singing and making others laugh. Joe also had a gift of hospitality that he used in his career of service to others.
Preceding Joe in death are his father, Joe DeLane, Sr.; his sister, Johanna Johnson and his brother, William Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory are Joe’s mom, Dorothy DeLane; his sisters, Ethel Johnson, Dianna Johnson, Peggy Carter (Charles) and Gwendolyn Johnson; his brother, Henry Spurling; his uncle, Raymond Andrews; his aunts, Virginia Fletcher (Richard), Tommy Jo Hinton, Gloria Dean Powell, Geraldine Powell and Joyce Powell; his niece, Katrina Dodd (Robert); his nephews, Antonio Johnson (Shannon) and Quincy Johnson; several great nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
