Felix Junior Johnson was born in Brenham, Texas, February 14, 1935, to the parentage of Felix and Bessie Johnson. He was the oldest of thirteen children. Felix grew up in McGregor, Texas and later joined the United States Air Force, where he served four years as an air policeman. During his term, Felix moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he met and married Elmarie Bates in 1954. To this union, six children were born. In 1962, Felix started working for Bell Helicopter Textron, in Hurst, Texas. Following the dissolve of Felix’s first marriage, he met Jackie Hawkins, in 1979. Felix and Jackie married to this union, four children were born. After losing his wife in 2014, his health started declining and Felix decided to retire from Bell Helicopter after 54 years of hard work. Felix was a devoted father, grandfather, great-great grandfather and fill-in father to a lot of people and will forever be missed and loved.

Felix Junior Johnson, 83, passed away from this life into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving children. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Felix and Bessie Johnson; his wives, Elmarie Johnson and Jackie Johnson; his daughter, Wanda Carroll; one brother, three sisters, and grandson, Quan’Trel.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his children, Shelley(Emmett), Felix, Jr. (Pamela), Sharon, Trinda (Thurston), Yolanda (Levi), Tracey (Patrick), Felice, By’Ron, Ki’Ron, Reginald and Felix Jones; his siblings, Doris, Diane, Deloris, Jimmy, Johnny, Robert, Kenneth, Charles and Anthony; twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
